It's terrible. Ascetically its a crime - the size of the sidewalk relative to the street and houses is all out of proportion. It's 6' wide from my house at 109 through to Ethyl. What happened to 4.5 feet? The color looks like battleship gray to me. I understood it would be tinted darker.
It's a lesson on how to kill the aesthetics of a semi rural community street under the guise of 'suburban' progress.
I've noted that many people, including a couple of wheelchair travelers, are still traveling westward on Evergreen on the other side of the street, off the sidewalk.
Also, the cars are not slowing down at all. Over the weekend cars were parked at the curb, which it was assumed would narrow the street and slow cars down. But that's not happening. They are careening down a narrower street. Cyclists, as I predicted, are that much closer now to speeding traffic. What a mess.
